Community Grant

The Board of Directors of the Providence Foundation of San Francisco has established the Community Support Program as a means to contribute to the community by supporting ministries, school groups, and organizations. Our community grant is available annually, and community members can apply once a year for a grant of up to $500. This grant represents a fantastic opportunity to enhance your community initiatives!

Community Grant Submission Process

  • Submit the Scholarship Application Package by the deadline.

  • A completed Application Package includes The Grant Application Form, Proposal Summary, Line Item Budget Request, and Budget Narrative.  

  • Once a completed application is received, it will be time-stamped, and the listed contact person will receive an email confirming receipt.

  • The initial review process will take place within 10 business days of receiving the application and will be conducted by the Community Support Program Review Committee. Please be available during this timeframe to answer any questions the committee may have.

  • After the initial review, the committee will make a funding recommendation to the Foundation’s Board of Directors based on the needs and budget justification presented by the ministry, school, group, or organization.

  • The Review Committee's funding recommendation will be presented to the Board of Directors (BOD) for final approval at the next regularly scheduled BOD meeting, which occurs every second Tuesday of the month. The contact person for the application will be notified of the funding decision via email the day following the BOD meeting.

  • You will be notified via email when the awarded funds become available.
